Charles John Huffam Dickens was born in Portsmouth in Hampshire, England the 7th of Februari 1812. Charles was one of the biggest novelist in the world and have written books like Oliver Twist, Nicholas Nickleby, The old curiosity shop and Barnaby Rudge and they are all a part of the (Den gamla antikvitetshandeln) serie.
When Charles was 9 years old the Dickens family moved to London and at the age of 12 he started to work in a factory to earn money for his family cause his father was thrown into debstors' prison.
Later in life, too be more exact, 1834, he became a journalist for a newspaper called Morning Chronicle. He got the opportunity to travel all over the UK and he took it without hesitation.
Dickens had a wife named Catherine Hogarth and they had 10 children, one of them died at a very young age.
Word around, he got inlove with an 18 year old girl.
Oliver Twist
Oliver Twist is a movie based on the book with the same titel, written by Charles Dickens. Oliver was a poor orphan boy who lived at the municipal almshouse, and he wasn't the only one. But he was the only one who seemed rude cause he begged for more food. So he got kicked out and moved to another family. That family had a son who loved to piss him of so Oliver decided to walk to London instead. A hole new life started for the poor orphan boy and thinks he never imagine could happen started to happen. Half way trough the movie he met a very nice man who wants to take care of him, as if he were one of his own. But an orphan child doesn't come without problems so a lot of things happened, but in the end Olivers wishes comes thrue and he get's a family that loves him, and it was worth all the pain he went trough.
